17 Ways Textsoap Can Make Your Life Better

New video about TextSoap! I've been using TextSoap lately as I experiement with Setapp, and it turns out, TextSoap is one of those tools that I didn't know I needed, but now I really need it. TextSoap saves me hours of monotonous work every week, and for that I am very grateful.

In the video embeded below, I run through 17 different real-world examples for things TextSoap can automate. I think this is a pretty useful list, and whether you use TextSoap or not, this might spark some ideas in how you can improve your process. Watch the video for more information, but here's a summary of the problems I talk about in the video:

  1. Converting HTML to Markdown
  2. Converting Word to Markdown
  3. Previewing / Converting Markdown to HTML
  4. Fix Your Typography (Smarten your Quotes, there's also a setting to do this automatically)
  5. Smarten your Quotes in HTML
  6. Fix Your Typography (wrap at 50, 60, 70)
  7. Converting a Word Document into an HTML email
  8. Make your plain text emails look better
  9. Properly capitalize common tech terms
  10. Set Line Spacing (double spaced, 1.5 spaced, whatever)
  11. Normalize Dates
